It is a 5-day course with 30 hours lab sessions and lectures. The first course was attended by candidates from the gem and jewellery industry including diamond brokers, jewellers and diamontaires. It was conducted in English, Hindi and Gujarati , making it simpler for candidates to understand and relate to the subject.

IGI hosted a graduation ceremony for its participants, honouring students with diplomas issued from IGI headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium and awarded by Mr. Rohit Mehta, President of Surat Diamond Association & Mr. Tushar Choksi, President of Surat Jewelers Association.

Mr. Ramit Kapur, General Manager, IGI said on the occasion, - “IGI has been conducting courses and programmes for manufacturers and traders in Surat for over nine years now.
