IGI conducts seminar for consumers

International Gemological Institute (IGI) extended the knowledge about diamonds to consumers at a seminar organised by AVID. The seminar was entitled ‘Know your Diamonds’ and was held on 11 July 2012 ,in Mumbai.

AVID conducts comprehensive lifestyle courses and events, spanning across Culture & Heritage, Arts, Literature, Music /Dance/Theatre, Interior & Architecture. Delivered by experts from India and abroad, these workshops are a mix of theory & practical’s that summarizes the essence of the AVID Experience.

The seminar informed about the 4 C’s in a diamond, the value of a diamond, basic valuation of diamonds, diamond certification, and the important role of certification in maintaining consumer confidence.

An interactive session saw consumer’s learning more through a question-answer session.

On this occasion Mr. Ramit Kapur, GM IGI expressed, “The consumers today need transparency and accurate information in order to purchase diamonds with more confidence. We are thankful to Avid who takes these initiatives to invite IGI to educate consumers through interactive seminars“.
