The International Gemological Institute, IGI, has opened its 13th branch at 136, Cears Plaza, Office No. 101, Residency Road. The branch is in addition to the IGI laboratories at Thrissur, Chennai and Hyderabad in South India. The laboratory will certify diamond jewellery and will also provide educational services in gemology for diamond and gem enthusiasts in the region.

The state of the art laboratory will certify jewelry on the basis of international standards, passing on a sense of reliability to both, the sellers and the buyers. Across the globe, IGI certificates instill a sense of confidence in the minds of diamond, gemstone and jewellery owners.

The perpetual commitment to understanding the concerns of consumers has motivated IGI to develop an all-inclusive report that serves as an authentic evaluation that is a mark of integrity that IGI upholds. IGI's services will now assist consumers in making purchases without worrying about the authenticity of the gemstone.

"Considering the accelerated rate at which the jewelry market is growing in the Southern region,  the decision to start an office in  Bangalore is to help consumers have easy access to the exemplary services that IGI extends. The facility promises them supreme standards that IGI maintains during the certification process. The branch will also serve as the hub for gemological studies," said Tehmasp Printer, MD, IGI India.

The IGI School Of Gemology will cater to the growing fascination for the study of diamonds, gemstones and jewelry designing. With an unparalleled range of coursework, spanning  everything from rough diamond grading  to gemstones, modern treatments and computer-assisted jewelry design, IGI now offers premium education in gemology for students and persons from the trade who would like to earn a professional diploma in their field of interest.
