IDI to participate with 50 companies at June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair

The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) is participating at the forthcoming June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair with a diamond pavilion. At the pavilion it will bring 50 of its leading companies as participants. There would be another 10 Israeli companies exhibiting in other locations throughout the show.

The Show is slated between June 23-26, 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Israel Diamond Pavilion will be located in the diamond area. At each site there will be a lounge adjacent to the pavilion, serving refreshments throughout the day, and featuring dedicated Find Your Diamond units, which helps in searching for all Israeli exhibitors at the show. IDI is also promoting its presence at the show through a dedicated website which it will launch with complete details of participating Israeli companies and a map of the Israel Diamond Pavilion.

Israel cites Asia as its second largest market for polished diamonds, despite the slowdown in the markets. It sees a positive long-term prospect for these markets. The Asian markets account for about 30 percent of total polished diamond exports, with the greatest share going to Hong Kong. Israel is also a major supplier of polished diamonds to China, India, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan and other Asian markets. IDI continues to participate at the four trade shows in Hong Kong every year and has also taken great strides in making Israeli diamantaires accessible to buyers, one being the Find Your Diamond feature. Also, the IDI Hong Kong office has helped spur business between the two counties, reports say.
