IDI says its participation at HK Gem and Jewellery fair was a success

The Israeli representation was the largest at the show

The Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) termed its participation as a ‘success’ and ‘having met more than expectation’ at the September Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair, which ended at the Asia World Expo venue on September 23. The IDI had hosted the largest representation at the show with over 125 Israeli companies exhibiting which according to Nissim Palomo, IDI Chief Marketing Officer, “gave us an important advantage”. He further added, “Our two pavilions received a huge amount of traffic, and our branding was visible throughout the show. The opening event, which we sponsored, also gave our participation a major boost”.

Moti Ganz, IDI Chairman, said that the Israeli exhibitors did an active business and sales were good. Although many buyers hoped to buy polished at reduced prices, Ganz said that Israeli exhibitors stood firm. “This attests the excellent business relationships our industry enjoys in Asian markets,” he said.

Asia has been a prime market for polished diamonds for the Israeli Diamond Industry, as such making its participation at the show of importance.
