IDI plans large participation at BASELWORLD 2011

The Israeli Diamond Industry plans to participate in a large group at the forthcoming BASELWORLD 2011, with 16 Israeli diamond exporters and more Israeli companies who will be using facilities provided by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) to be active at BASELWORLD. It has also scheduled an agenda of networking, presentations and resources for the buyers at the show. The trade show is slated between March 24 – 31, 2011.

According to IDI sources the large participation underlines the recovery in the Israeli Diamond Industry and the importance it attributes to BASELWORLD, a premier diamond and jewelry event for the European market. ISI will host an annual press event as a lunch on March 25, 2011, and also host Reuven Kuvent, outgoing CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Israel as special guest who will make a presentation on how the ascendancy of consumer markets in Asia is impacting the global diamond and jewelry industries. Eli Avidar IDI Managing Director, will unveil the new strategic marketing campaign for the industry, “Welcome to Israel” which he describes will focus on a diversified approach, combining key developments in Internet strategy, in addition to trade shows, advertising, PR and event. He added that IDI would be announcing new developments in its international network later in the year. Avidar will also launch a significant Internet interface facilitating trading Israeli diamonds simpler and more accessible.

Prior to the show buyers can scan the profile of participating Israeli diamond companies through an online mini-site http://www.israelidiamond.co.il/baselworld/index.html. IDI will again operate a prominently placed information and image booth in Hall 3.1, NO1. Most of the Israeli diamond companies will exhibit in Hall 3, where the loose diamond category is concentrated.
