IDE’s Industry Committee plan manufacturing plant to polish large diamonds

A manufacturing plant to polish large diamonds in Israel could be on the cards. The Israel Diamond Exchange’s Industry Committee is inviting participation from members of the bourse to a meeting in which the topic would be the main focus. The meeting is being planned on September 7 at the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Museum wherein IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer and President of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association, Kobi Koren would be present, reports add.

The manufacturing plant to be built on the is currently in its planning stage and would be built in an external space of the Maccabi building. This would involve a 400 sq meter space at present being unused, to be for the factory. There would also be 15 workrooms for rent and the factory would be connected to the Maccabi building from the exchange complex, reports add.
