IDE completed 6 months of collaborating with eBay

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) had entered into a cooperation agreement with eBay in the end of 2014, and having completed six months to this agreement successfully, the Israel Diamond Institute interacted with representatives of GCI Gemological Laboratories & College which runs the eBay course on behalf of the Israel Diamond Exchange, reports say.

The agreement was entered into to boost the overall sales of Israeli diamonds and encourage polished diamond sales by Israeli diamantaires worldwide through the online route, as per reports.

The courses are for a 12-week period and include one session per week along with assignments. Also, the students interact with eBay professionals who help them put into action their eBay marketing. The collaboration requires that the IDE members adhere to product and service quality assurance criteria, and have required certification and references in order to receive training and support to set up online stores on eBay.

So far, the eBay course has seen a large number of students complete it and a 7th course is being planned by GCI, reports say.
