IDE and HKJMA sign MOU

The MOU aims to strengthen relations between Israel and Hong Kong diamond jewellery industries

During the International Diamond Week in Israel, the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Jewellery Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong(HKJMA) with a purpose of strengthening relations between Israel and Hong Kong diamond jewellery industries.

The MOU was signed by The IDE President, Yoram Dvash, and the President of the Jewellery Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong, Adam Lau. The signing ceremony was held in the IDE Trading Hall in the presence of members of the Hong Kong delegation and the Deputy President of the IDE, Hezi Blum, while the IDE's CEO, Eli Avidar, managed the ceremony.

"Acknowledging the importance for both sides of the diamond and jewelry industries, and the desire to cooperate on the basis of reciprocity and an understanding of the needs of their members, we share the desire to strengthen the relations between the parties and transactions between members: we have agreed to cooperate in mutual activities in China and Southeast Asia, to hold periodic consultations in order to raise issues of common interest to both parties, in order to strengthen the commercial relationship between the parties," the agreement said.

The Hong Kong delegation presented a gift to IDE President Yoram Dvash, as a token of appreciation, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding.
