IDE President seeks suggestions from young members

To discuss and arrive at new thoughts on how to lead the Israel Diamond Exchange forward, the IDE President Yoram Dvash turned to the younger generation, for inputs, as per reports. He held a meeting younger members of the IDE where discussions touched upon ideas in the areas of business, law, technology, marketing, production, publicity and prices of rough diamonds and more, as per reports. Suggestions included consolidating all diamantaires and goods from Israel under one online trading platform, highlighting the need for increasing generic advertising of diamonds.

IDE President Yoram Dvash in the meeting mentioned that the effort was to being about ‘change and focus the bourse's efforts on a few key issues’. He also noted that while the budget for 2016 is being formulated, it is ‘smaller than last year's budget, and we therefore want to focus efforts on issues that will promote the bourse from a business point of view.’

Yoram Dvash spoke of allocating rough diamonds to smaller manufacturers, the setting up of the modern manufacturing centre, professional training for younger people, and plans of developing an area at the exchange for outside companies to hold polished tenders in Israel, as per reports
