The collection makes a distinct statement in high-end furniture

A collection of handcrafted furniture rendered with gold leafing has been launched by House of Raro. The House of Raro, a decade old name in the home décor segment, is renowned for its high-end furniture range, suited for residential and contract purposes. Its portfolio that spans various forms of art in furniture, be it Art Deco' inspired collections, pure contemporary forms to couture furniture collections. The skill of handcraft, bespoke furniture design, rare and luxurious materials, earns the brand it distinct identity and appeal. The brand has tied up with international names like David Redman and Maya Romanoff. “All this indulgence is exciting as we work closely with our clients, getting inputs on materials and finishes so it ends up being a one off piece”, explains Rolly Gupta, who alsong with sister Rajeeta Gupta heads the company.

The new collection is characterized by an ‘ethereal’ appeal, while being futuristic, and made with festive fabrications. It is a distinct statement in luxury home décor. The designs of the furniture, be it side tables, mirrors or settees, lighting, accessories, all compliment the opulence of ‘gold’ achieved through the art of gold leafing. Some pieces in the collection include: Soane – Art Deco style sitting cased in Gold leafed Leather with faux fur seat cushion, Jane – 24 carat gold leaf Peg table with black mirror top and Ebony accents, Talbrots – Sculpted in solid wood and 24 carat Gold leaf, Impala – Peg Table with sculpted Deer legs in solid wood, 24 carat gold leaf and textured onyx stone, Miela – Organic design carved in solid wood with black marble top ( shown in picture).

House of Raro is present at Delhi, a flagship store 5000 sq ft in Colaba, Mumbai and is expanding with a new store at Emporio Mall New Delhi in March 2011.
