Hini Star Launches the OPTICA Series

Today Hini Star launched its new optical-patterned diamond collection, The OPTICA Series, with the release of STELO, ROZO and FLORO, three patented innovative diamond cuts featuring symmetrical patterns that create unprecedented brilliance and light performance.

Speaking on the opening day of the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair, where Hini Star is traditionally exhibits, Smit Virani, of Hini Star remarked: “The OPTICA Series is designed to meet the demands and characteristics of today’s consumers and how they experience a diamond.  For retailers this means an opportunity to enhance customer engagement and buying experience to boost sales.”

Cutting for a new generation

Each cut in this initial release is strongly aligned with powerful symbols found only in the natural world that reflect the personality, passion and philosophy of millennials and Generation Z diamond owners.

 The Optica Stelo features 91 facets aligning to form a perfect star that radiates with brilliance and luminosity.  Stelo is designed to draw attention from a distance.

 The Optica Rozo’soptically-precise 56 facets are a fiery and passionate reinterpretation of romance.  Rozo unites the rose and the diamond in a design that shimmers for a new generation of lovers.

 The Optica Floro evokes the artistry of nature in motion.  Its 77 facets reveal intricate reflections that quietly break the rules – illuminating the individuality of its owner.

Research and innovation
The collection features patented symmetrical optical patterns which are the result of over 30 years of research development and innovation.

 “We have leveraged advanced digital design and manufacturing technologies to develop a patented process that intensifies the movement of light.” Virani added.  “This makes each cut in The OPTICA Series something unique, natural and authentic, reflecting the values of the modern consumer and providing the deep, emotional experience that they seek.”

 In a process that is also fully-protected by international patent, The OPTICA Series is characterized by original double optical patterns to intensify the movement of light inside the diamond when viewed from any angle.

 “This results in an overall beautiful optical pattern that have never existed before,” Virani concluded.

 The diamonds are available in 0.23 carat and up, D to K colours and VS2+ clarity grades.

 Each stone in collection is GIA certified and graded for light performance using the Sarine Light to measure Brilliance, Sparkle, Fireand Light Symmetry to evaluate the diamond’s true light performance.
