Helping Hands Presents Its Festive Fundraiser

Diwali and the festive season being around the corner call for shopping. And what if we told you that the money you spend on your shopping this festive season could be put to use for a Noble cause? "The Helping Hands Foundation", an organization that supports and helps children receiving cancer treatment at the Tata Memorial Hospital held fundraiser on 4^th October, 2017 at the St. Regis Hotel, Mumbai.

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, lent her support to the day as she lit the ceremonial candle with the kids . After the lamp lighting ceremony, everyone cheered and wished the birthday girl Shreeja, one of the many kids receiving support by Helping Hands Foundation, as she cut her birthday cake.

​Madhavi Goenka,​ Meghna Patel and Vandana Malik who have been pillars behind  Helping Hands Fundraiser played hosts to  guests who came forward to support the cause  including Tanaaz Bhatia,  Krishaa and Gautam Ghanasingh, Sangeeta Harinder Singh, Rekha Jhunjhunwala, Palak Sheth,  Shibani Agarwal, Sunil and Kiran Datwani, Pria Kataaria Puri, Tanaz Doshi, Arpana Punjabi , Tamanna Punjabi​ Kapoor​, Bhavna Jasra, Varsha Patel, Vasudha Ruia,  Jyoti Mukherjee , Radha Goenka etc .​​

The festive edition of the helping Hands Exhibition cum Fundraiser was a delight for shoppers, especially those looking for Diwali shopping. With an array of stalls on display by lifestyle brands, starting from ethnic wear, western wear, footwear, jewellery, gifting solutions, etc., the shopper was  definitely going to be spoilt for choices.  

​T​he labels showcasing this season were  Ghanasingh BE TRUE,  Gehna Jewellers,​ Shriya S​om, ​Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor,  Abhishek Verma, ​Sonam Luthria, Kresha Lulla, Ohaila Khan Chandni Sahi (by Chandni), Myra Jaipur,​ Elisha Wadhwani, Anoli Shah,​ Reshma Dalal,​ Sevvo by Sumita,​ Petricor by Rishi Raj,​ Alyssa.​

The new and exciting addition to this year’s exhibition is the kids section offering brands like Pink Cow, Crave Connect, Tia’s Closet, Primrose, etc., to choose from. This addition made  the exhibition a complete family affair to enjoy this festive season.

After satisfying your inner shopaholic, the foodie inside you with a number of food stalls offering mouth-watering delicacies and the Helping Hands signature healthy snacks.​​

​"What binds us and the participants  together at the Helping Hands Fundraiser is the desire to contribute towards the Accommodation Project which looks after and supports 150 children fighting cancer and the Survivor Project which helps them stay Cancer Free, executed by the wonderful team at the Tata Memorial Hospital. We thanks  all of you who have  come forward for a day of festive shopping to raise funds to aid these kids have a better life. ." Says founding trustee Madhavi Goenka.

​​"I pledge my support to Helping Hands, the team who is working so diligently with the Tata Hospital Pediatrics for Accommodation,Survivors of Cancer and Bereavement. Accommodation is for children and their parents who come from other cities for treatment and are forced to stay on the footpath therefore forcing them to abandon treatment. Survivor Project is for kids who survive and their ongoing tests and medicines.Bereavement is for the last rites of those who pass away.Today Helping Hands announces their  4th project which is for the education of the Girl Child with mascot Titli . ​S​o its great to be here with the kids share their special day and add to the festive joy with this fundraiser.
