Hari Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd, India’s leading manufacturer of cut and polished diamonds, organised a blood donation drive on 1st and 2nd July, 2016 at The Capital, BKC. The Drive held with the purpose of betterment of the community, unfolded on the company’s 24th Anniversary. There was also a free health check- up for all employees for three consecutive days. The blood donation drive was also held in the company’s Surat factory premises on 2nd July.
In attendance were bankers, customers, well-wishers and the Managing Director of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd., Shri Ghanshyam Dholakia.
The enthusiastic participation of the company employees made it a success. The overwhelming participation of the donors in Mumbai and Surat culminated into a donation of 1114 units of blood. The company also distributed “HK Health Chart” to all employees and well-wishers as a guidance to stay healthy with an entire day’s schedule and a few tips on how to lead a healthy life for ‘100 years’.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ghanshyam Dholakia, MD of Hari Krishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. said, “We may have external differences but the blood that runs through our veins is the same- that’s what connects us. Donating a single pint of blood can actually save many lives. On the occasion of HK’s 24th anniversary, we organised a blood donation drive wherein our employees and visitors volunteered in large numbers to take part in this charitable event. We will continue to do this as our aim is to help as many people as we can by giving blood.”
As a token of appreciation, the blood donors were presented with an Acupressure Mat, donor hand bands along with their donor cards.
