The house of HARAKH announced the launch an all-new “Drops of JOY” collection premiering at the Couture 2023 show in Las Vegas June 1 – 5, 2023. The capsule collection comprises a spiritually inspired suite of ten 18K gold charms/pendants accented with colorless (D,E,F color/IF-VS clarity) diamonds, each featuring one meaningful cultural icon or talisman such as select sacred Ashtamangala symbols. The new charms are sold separately as mix-and-match collectibles that can be affixed to necklaces, bracelets, or handbags. They range in price from $4,000 to $6,500 and will be available at HARAKH’s esteemed retail partners worldwide.

“From its very inception, the HARAKH brand has always been about celebrating moments of joy! As our fans and collectors experience their own moments of joy, we wanted to offer them tangible amulets with powerful messages of goodness, strength, and warmth, evoked by the auspicious symbols of both Eastern and Western philosophy,” says HARAKH CEO and Founder Harakh Mehta.

Ashtamangala symbols have been used for protection, strength, and wisdom for thousands of years in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. Because the word “harakh” literally means joy so overwhelming it can evoke tears, each charm in the collection includes the HARAKH signature teardrop of joy pear-cut diamond at its northeast corner, a location believed to welcome wise Feng Shui energy. The charms, carved with unique three-dimensional surfaces, are encircled by an additional seven round colorless diamonds for a total of approximately .25 carats per charm.

A few of the ten-charm capsule collection include:

  • The Parasol, a slightly raised umbrella dome with a 0.074 carat round colorless diamond sparkling at the center, is a reimagining of the Ashtamangala umbrella, often used to symbolize Buddha’s teachings.
  • The Conch Shell, symbolizing awakening to awareness, features a delicate diamond-dotted conch sitting atop embossed universal circles.
  • Eight additional designs such as The Lotus symbolizing resilience; The Wheel of Law for serenity; the unbreakable Vajra evoking confidence; Endless Knot signifying harmony; the Lion’s Head for courage; The Kalasha, a treasure vessel, attracting prosperity; the divine No. 9, considered sacred and lucky in many cultures, inspiring good fortune, and the HARAKH teardrop of JOY logo embodying bliss.

A number of classic HARAKH design elements are apparent in this collection. The charms incorporate only the highest quality of diamonds and are detailed with intricate raised metal beadwork called pota, an artisanal Indian fabric embellishment method. Also incorporated are etchings of sunbursts, a nod to HARAKH’s Sunlight Collection, inspired by India’s abundance of sunny days.

This is the third year HARAKH has exhibited at The Couture Show, an elite jewelry industry showcase of renowned heritage brands, emerging design talent, and top retailers. Couture is the premier gathering of industry insiders curating the best fine jewelry worldwide.
