Grace Kelly to be honoured as a Diamond Diva

The Cartier designed wedding jewellery of Grace Kelly will be featured at the forthcoming Diamond Divas exhibition, organised by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre. The exhibition pays homage to the influential glamorous personalities. The event is scheduled between April 11 to June 8, 2008 in the Province of Antwerp’s Diamond Museum under the High Patronage of HRH Princess Mathilde.

Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier in 1956 since when this is the first exhibit of her jewellery. The collection will include her Cartier art deco Rivière necklace set with rose and old cut diamonds. Also, three Cartier brooches of platinum, yellow gold, rubies and marquise and brilliant cut diamonds will be displayed. A Scroll tiara crafted in platinum, white gold, diamonds and pearls realised by Cartier for Princess Charlotte of Monaco will be also exhibited and Kelly’s engagement ring with emerald cut diamonds. This will be the first public exhibit of these jewellery pieces.

Diamond Divas is a cooperation with the Diamond Museum of the Province of Antwerp, sponsored by Antwerp Diamond Bank, KBC, ABN AMRO, SNCB, Roularta group Lifestyle Magazines, De Standaard, State Bank of India, HRD Antwerp, Delveaux and the City of Antwerp. Diamond Divas is supported by the Province of Antwerp.
