Gold Souk opens in Jaipur

Gold Souk, a mall designed with multiple retail shops and offices dedicated only to jewellery, was launched with much fan fare and attendance by leading personalities, at Jawahar Cirle in Jaipur. The opening ceremony was performed in the traditional manner of lighting a lamp by owners of showrooms at the mall - Shri Vivek Kala, JP Tambi- (Ex Presidents of Jewellers Association), Anu Choudhary and Seema Vijay. Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla, welcomed by Shri Vimal Chand Surana- Convenor- Jaipur Jewellery Show, Shri Nirmal Bardiya (President of Jewellers Association, Jaipur) and Shri Ajay Kala, inaugurated the mall.

Shri Surana said that Jewellers of Gold Souk (JOGS), an association of leading jewellery houses of Jaipur, presents an unlimited collection of the latest and best in design. The mall is designed with the theme to offer ‘a whole new world of jewellery’, and as such promotes the unique concept of a complete Jewellery hub showcasing a wide variety of gold, silver and platinum jewelry under one roof. It has a capacity of 95 showrooms and 150 offices.

Ajay Kala noted that the jewellers of Gold Souk (JOGS) will brand it as a tourist spot where visitors can source all kinds of precious metals, diamonds, color stone and jewel articles, with the variety to cater to all ages, design appeal and budgets.

At the ceremony Ms. Chawla revealed that Kundan Meena Jewellery of Jaipur held a big attraction in the Bollywood film industry and also showed interest in light weight 18 karat jewelry being manufactured in Jaipur since the past few years. She visited the showrooms of Suranas Jewelove, Saugaat by Kalajee Jewellery, Arshia, Sara Jewels, Deepika Gems & Jewel Shrine. Mr. Kushal Expressing gratitude to Ms. Chawla, Karnawat handed her a memento.
