In keeping with the World Cup fever, the Gitanjali Group, unveiled a new sports range ‘Sporteratti’ and ‘The first ever diamond studded cricket balls’ by the gorgeous Bollywood star Mahima Chaudhary and Captain Indian Cricket team (women) Mithali Raj. To grace the occasion were dignitaries from Lakme fashion week and IMG.

The new sports range ‘Sporteratti’ is for the classy athletic. The sports collection consists of a wide range of pendants, depicting popular sports played in India. The jewellery is created in gold and diamond set in black and transparent polymer. The range would start from Rs 2000 to Rs 10000. Zahir Khan has been chosen as the brand ambassador for the brand.

With jewellery becoming a style statement, Gitanjali gems has forayed into fashion by associating itself with Lakme India Fashion Week wherein the inaugural fashion show is exclusively being sponsored by Gitanjali in association with designer Vikram Phadnis.

The first ever luxurious diamond studded cricket ball is created with a fine blend of 82.2 gram gold and 30cts diamond. The value of these balls is approximately 30 lacs each. Two of these collector items will be conferred to the best Indian as well as the best international player of the on-going Cricket World Cup.

But who does Mr Choksi put his bets on to bag the classy cricket balls? To this he says, “As far as international team is concerned, I guess Australia can make for it. Indian team is quite unpredictable, let’s see who bags it from the Indian cricket team.”
