This exciting milestone marks a major step in Charles Zuber’s journey, establishing a presence for the brand in a captivating destination for watch and jewelry enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates and beyond – and sets a strong signal as the brand’s business development strategy gains momentum.

Ribbon cutting opening ceremony 
 
The Charles Zuber boutique opened its doors to the public for a cocktail reception hosted from 5 to 9 pm. At the red-carpet event, guests were invited on an immersive “walk-through” experience to discover the brand’s rich history. The opening celebration was held under the auspices of HE Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of Switzerland to the UAE & Bahrain, alongside Mr. Mohamed Hilal, one of the 3 founding partners of Charles Zuber, and Sabrina Bergopsom, managing director of Charles Zuber. The evening was also honored by the presence of the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, H.E. Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi. Guests were able to discover all of the Maison’s latest watch creations, including the Perfos Karl – dazzling with its rose gold case set with baguette cut orange sapphires – and the elegantly minimalist Perfos 36mm with brilliant cut diamonds all over the bezel. Charles Zuber’s high watchmaking art, ‘the provocative beauty of simplicity’, is now on permanent display in the United Arab Emirates.

An ideal location for a promising commercial strategy
 
For its first boutique worldwide, Charles Zuber has chosen the Middle East, specifically Yas Mall, the exclusive retail destination established in 2014 on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. Yas Island has become one of the region’s most popular family-friendly entertainment hubs and an international venue in its own right, known throughout the world. The Island's status as a tourist destination, its high-end residential community, proximity to luxury hotels, hosting of international events, excellent connections (between Dubai and Abu Dhabi), and thriving luxury retail ecosystem all make it an attractive, strategic location for Charles Zuber. Opening a store on Yas Island provides unparalleled exposure, access to affluent customers, and a platform to establish a strong presence in the luxury market in this part of the world.

First reveal of the 2023 creations after Watches & Wonders
 
The Charles Zuber boutique totals 70 square meters (over 700 square feet) in a prime location at the mall, on the ground floor of the high-end wing, alongside Montblanc, TAG Heuer, Al Manara International Jewellery and Time Vallee - just to name a few of the exclusive brands in the vicinity. The façade of the Charles Zuber boutique is “a dialogue between the history of Charles Zuber himself and the modernity of the collection”, in other words an invitation to discover the brand’s collections, all of which will be commercialized here, including the new creations introduced in 2023. This includes the ‘highlight’ of the inaugural event: the luminous Perfos Karl, a watch bathed in light, entirely hand-skeletonized by one of Geneva’s last watchmaking craftsmen to practice his art in the traditional way, Cédric Johner. The new boutique will be a home-away-from-home for the complete timepieces and jewelry collections, in addition to exclusive, limited ‘boutique’ editions. Not only watch connoisseurs and collectors, but also those who have not yet had the opportunity to discover Charles Zuber, may look forward to experiencing the sophisticated elegance of the brand’s exquisite watchmaking and jewelry creations at the new boutique in Abu Dhabi.
