GemBoxRFID to be launched in India and China

Hong Kong-based firm Diamond Services Ltd., that markets advanced technological products to the diamond, gem and jewellery industries, will be marketing a new product GemBoxRFID, which the compnay notes is the most efficient and 100 percent accurate stocktaking technology. This product is the outcome of an agreement between GemBox and Diamond Services Ltd.

GemBox CEO, Jason Ree of Sydney, Australia, said he was delighted with the agreement: "With its profound knowledge and its extensive industry network, I am confident sure Diamond Services will do a great job in introducing and marketing our technology to the gem and jewellery industry and trade," Ree stated.

Diamond Services is introducing this product in Hong Kong, China, India, Antwerp and Israel. Yosi Kuzi, a co-owner of Diamonds Services Ltd., said he is looking forward to advancing GemBox's products in the new markets. Explaining that ‘stocktaking is one of the less enjoyable, time-consuming but necessary chores’, he added that ‘those same diamond, gem or pearl traders can now stock take 1,000 items in 30 seconds. This is achieved by using GemBox's Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) identification tags, which are small enough for gem industry applications that enable users to track stock and store information about each item. No less important is the issue of thefts which can be further reduced using tagged parcels in a trade show."

Diamond Services has also planned introducing its low-cost, portable RFID scanning device suitable for use at trade shows and by small scale traders, at the Hong Kong Gems and Jewellery Fair. Kuzi said that the RFID product line will be showcased at the EGL Asia booth at the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. In addition to the portable RFID scanner, he also mentioned that “At the fair, Diamond Services will also display and sell its successful DiamaPen, a low-cost, pen-shaped pointer that provides highly accurate results in the screening and separation of synthetic diamonds from natural diamonds.”
