GSI Botswana uses Sarine’s DiaMension™ Axiom

The Botswana laboratory of the Gemological Science International (GSI), a leading independently owned gemological laboratory, has become the first in Africa to use Sarine Technologies’ DiaMension™ Axiom, in Africa. DiaMension™ Axiom is Sarine’s next generation high-end technology diamond scanner for measuring and modeling polished diamonds.

The DiaMension™ Axiom is the only scanner that enables fully automated cut and symmetry grading. Such innovative technology breaches the boundaries of the old Shadows modeling concept and limitations.

Ms. Debbie Azar, EVP, GSI, said, “With its introduction, GSI can now detect the tiniest attributes and features of the diamond, such as facets’ pointing down to a microns level of accuracy.” She further added, “Our clients will significantly benefit from one of the new capabilities offered by its products”.

Uzi Levami, the chief executive of Sarine, stated, “After 25 years of 3D modeling based on shadows the DiaMension™ Axiom revolutionizes with new in-light direct modeling of real-time microscope analysis, detecting the tiniest imperfections of the diamond, such as facet Junctions.”

“We are deeply honored that GSI, one of the largest laboratories in the world, has placed their trust in our products and consider it a privilege to continue to be their supplier of choice”, he added.
