GJF hosts first Intercity Networking Meet of PMI 2011-13

The very first Intercity Networking Meet of PREFERRED MANUFACTURER OF INDIA 2011-13 (PMI) in Hyderabad, organised by the All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) gave retail jewelers of the city a unique opportunity to interact with 36 jewellery manufacturers chosen under GJF’s PMI program. The platform was encouraged by retailers as it enhanced their efforts of sourcing of stock through witnessing a wide variety of selection under one roof and interacting with many PMI manufactures directly.

Kailesh Gupta from Musaddilal Jewellers Exporters noted that “GJF has identified good manufactures under the PMI program. This variety of jewellery will help in increasing our inventory cycle and will lead to increase in profitability.” Some retailers also found the event well timed, to replenish after the major Diwali festive season. Umesh Jethwani of Meena Jewellers Hyderabad said, “The INM is rightly scheduled, as this program was required post Diwali where we needed to increase our stock.”

The 36 PMI participants also got a boost to their recognition as Preferred Manufacturers amongst the retail jeweller circuit, while also having the opportunity to present their collections and interact with a number of jewellers at one go.

The event was organised on 13 November 2011 at Taj Krishna Hotel and in association with the Gemological Institute of America- GIA and was supported by the Hyderabad Jewellery Associations.
