GJEPC organises seminar on 'Benefits of Organised Trading’

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) too to discussing changes unfolding within the country, in regards to cashless economy among various other topics at its recent seminar entitled ‘Benefits of Organised Trading’, as pre reports. The seminar touched upon topics like benefits of cashless transactions, being compliant with income tax laws, organised ways of conducting business, as per reports.

The event took place in Mumbai on January 5, 2017 with a keen focus on benefiting those in the trade who are not members of the GJEPC but who participate in the growth of gem and jewellery industry and further be part of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Make in India” initiative.

The GJPEC opined that every secotr in India must share and sync in with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a cashless economy in India.

The participants were made aware of the Indian Jewellery Park project, GJEPC’s CSR polices including schemes like Swasthya Ratna and Parichay Card, income tax regulations, SME policies and cashless transactions by the various GJEPC dignitaries and other eminent speakers.

Meenakshi Krishnamurthi, Regional Officer, SBI, Parekh Paleja, Relationship Manager, SBI, Heena Gandhi from V. A. Parikh & Associates LLP, were some of the speakers at the event, as per reports.
