GJEPC and Reeds sign a five year agreement

The Gem & Jewellery Promotion Council (GJEPC) announced the alliance with Reed Exhibitors �One of the leading organizers of International Trade shows. Present on the occasion were Tim Porter, Business Development incharge of Reeds and Mike Allsopp Managing Director of Reeds Travel Exhibitions. The alliance is initiated specially for the organization of JCK at New Delhi in September 2006.

The agreement will help GJEPC and Reeds exchange their database. The tie-up will provide GJEPC an opportunity to tap into huge audience and promote the IIJS show in all International Exhibitions organized by Reeds and have a special booth to promote IIJS internationally. �GJEPC is continuously looking forward to promote India and its jewellery sector in the world. The alliance will fuel growth of Indian Industry in future years to come,� said Bakul Mehta, Chairman GJEPC. A nine member committee will be set up to decide participation at the major shows with a representative from the GJEPC and machinery sector to ensure complete participation of the industry.

The MOU also states that GJEPC will hold no exhibition in Delhi for next five years while Reed will follow the same in Mumbai. All GJEPC members will pay 5% less at JCK Exhibition. �We will learn from Reeds about organization skills and how to improvise on IIJS. The venture will help enhance the bond between Reed and GJEPC and look forward to this growing partnership,� said Sanjay Kothari, Convener- Promotion, Marketing & Business Development of GJEPC.
