G&J Regional Leadership Summit unfolds in Kolkata

Kolkata witnessed the first G&J Regional Leadership Summit at ITC Sonar Bangla, organized jointly by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and the All India Gem & Jewellery Federation (GJF). The Leadership Summit is an initiative to empower industry players to become more effective leaders. The event offered trade members a platform to “Learn & Lead”; thereby fuelling growth and profitability in business.

Bacchraj Bamalwa, Chairman GJF, said, “We are honoured to organize the first edition of the Gems & Jewellery Leadership Summit on a regional level this year in Kolkata. I am sure it has been a great learning experience for all the participating members of this edition. It is crucial that as leaders, we are continuously informed and empowered with information and thoughts that can help us grow not only as individuals but also as industry leaders.”

Eminent speakers from various walks of life including Bikram Dasgupta, Chairman & CEO, Globsyn Technologies, Chief Belief Officer, Future Group, Devdutt Pattnaik and Tax Guru – Subhash Lakhotia shared their insights on topics ranging from finance to management including ‘Identifying Opportunities & Leading Change’, ‘Difference between a Boss & a Leader’, as well as ‘Tax Leadership’. The summit was attended by several retailers and manufacturers from the region.
