GIA releases its Spring 2013 Education Quarterly

GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Spring 2013 Education Quarterly encompases an outline of the eLearning and on-campus gem and jewelry courses and programs available at the Institute’s 11 campuses worldwide, as well as details about GIA’s credentials and diplomas, and articles on emeralds, platinum and Edwardian-era jewelry. The Quaterly is available online and in print.

The content of the Quaterly addresses both current and prospective students. It speaks of the wide variety of careers with a GIA education, and the GIA courses and programs. Details on the recently revamped Jewelry Design & Technology and Graduate Jeweler programs and the Institute’s other globally recognized programs, such as the Graduate Gemologist and Accredited Jewelry Professional diplomas are also part of the content.

An exclusive interview with Jeff Mason, a GIA graduate and gemologist at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawnshop (setting of the television program Pawn Stars) personifies the more than 325,000 GIA alumni around the world. The special online edition, featured on GIA’s newly revamped website, includes two educational videos: Echoes of the Edwardian Era and Seeing Green: All About Emeralds.
