“The graduation ceremony initiates our students into the professional world of diamonds,” said Nirupa Bhatt, managing director of GIA in India and the Middle East. “Students leave GIA with the self-confidence, poise and unparalleled knowledge needed to succeed in the industry.”
Mr. Shah shared his insights of 22 years with the industry. “The students are fortunate to have a GIA campus here in India, which trains them for the challenges in the gem and jewellery industry. It’s important that we, as a part of the industry, acquire quality and updated knowledge from an institute like GIA,” he added.
Manoj Singhania, GIA director of education, and Apoorva Deshingkar, GIA head of sales for India, were also in attendance to wish the graduates well.
GIA’s campus in India conducts courses in gemmology, jewellery design, retail sales and merchandising.
