Altogether 1,210 billionaires having a combined net worth of $4.5 trillion, make up the Forbes list of ‘world's richest players’ for 2011. The list for 2010 had reported a combined net worth of $3.6 trillion. The list includes 199 new names, and also some who are part of the diamond, jewelry, luxury industry.

Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway featured on No.3 with $50 billion; Bernard Arnault of LVMH was on No. 4 (he moved up three spots) with $41 billion; Nicky Oppenheimer and his family moved up to No. 136 with $7 billion, with a $2 billion increase in their net worth in 2010. Giorgio Armani also ranked at No. 136 this year with $7 billion. eBay’s Pierre Omidyar stood at No. 145 with $6.7 billion; Steinmetz Diamond Group’s Beny Steinmetz was at No. 162 with $6 billion, Ralph Lauren at No. 173 with $5.8 billion, Richemont Group’s Johann Rupert at No. 219 with $4.8 billion, Laurence Graff at 459 with $2.5 billion down from No. 374 in 2010, Lev Leviev at No. 782 down 127 spots but an improved wealth from $1.5 billion in 2010 to $1.6 billion.

Meg Whitman of eBay was at No. 938 with net worth of $1.3 billion, Mohamed al Fayed of Harrods at No. 993 with $1.2 billion, and Charles Munger of Berkshire Hathaway was at No. 1,140 with net worth of $1 billion. The Walton family members, holding controlling share in Walmart, were at spots 10, 20, 21 and 22, while Amazon.com's Jeffrey Bezos was at No. 30 dropping five spots but with improved net worth of $18.1 billion from $12.3 billion in 2010.
