Fairmined Gold to be sold in North America

Fairmined, a company which offers certified gold that is produced by artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) as per Fairmined standards, including responsible mining, is going to sell its gold to the North American market, reports say. This is the first time that Fairmined gold is being brought to the North American markets and will be an opportunity for greater access to responsibly sourced materials, reports say.

FairSources, a partnership between the Canadian Fair Trade Jewellery Company and S&P Trading (Gold by Gold group-France) will be the first authorized seller of Fairmined gold, with an offering including 18-karat (yellow, nickel white, nickel free white with palladium) and 14-karat (yellow and nickel white), semi-mounts and wedding bands for retailers. It will also undertake white-label contract manufacturing, reports say and may offer Fairmined silver and other gold alloys as per demand, reports say.
