Dharmanandan Diamonds hosts 3rd Scholarship Enlightenment Program

Dharmanandan Diamonds initiated social corporate responsibility (CSR) endeavors, building on its passion and commitment to the same. For the company, CSR has been institutionalized as a way of life for its employees and society and it is viewed as much more than extending commitment to all the stakeholders including the society. The company believes that ‘The more we grow, the more our mission of CSR grows with increasing exclusive programs’.

A Scholarship Enlightenment Program was organised by the company recently, this being its third edition. The program was established three years back to support the higher education pursuits of students in 10th & 12th standards, whose parents are employed in Dharmanandan Diamonds, thus awarding scholarships to meritorious students belonging Dharmanandan Family and providing them better opportunities for higher education, increasing their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their efficiency.

Gracing the occasion was Minister of State, Shri Nanubhai Vanani as a guest of honor. Shri Mathurbhai Savani, President of Saurastra Jaldhara Trust and Shri Govindbhai Dholakiya, Chirman of SRK Exports inaugurated the event with the traditional lighting of the lamp, along with Shri Laljibhai & Shri Tulsibhai of Dharmanandan Diamonds and other renowned personalities of Surat.

Beginning on a light note with a folk dance, the event hosted a warm welcome of speakers - Dr. Mukul Choksi, a well-known Psychiatrist and Shri Vinod Joshi, a well-known Gujarati Poet. All the eligibles are motivated with the scholarship by presented guests and DDPL Management along with ideal thought of Shri Laljibhai Patel on good parenting. Dr. Mukul Choksi and Shri Vinod Joshi shared their knowledge on modern education system in cooperation of good parenting. During the event the company consoled and honored a family of one of its employee with assistance of 200,000 Indian Rupees, who died two months before. The diamond giant has distributed scholarship assistance to over 300 students having a keenness to learn further and realize their dreams.
