Debut edition of Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair 2011 gets overwhelming response

Having received queries for more space from registered exhibitors and an increasing list of those wanting to exhibit at the event, organizers of the first Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair (MJGF) 2011 have decided to shift the event to a larger hall, in order to accommodate more exhibitors. The event is being organised by the UBM Group and is slated between 9-11 December 2011. Its venue has been shifted Hall no.6 in Bombay Exhibition Centre - NSE Complex Goregaon to a double size Hall no. 1 in the Bombay Exhibition Centre - NSE Complex. This will enable to accommodate around 200 additional participants.

The organizers have received request for additional space from domestic diamond, gold pavilion exhibitors, gemstone manufacturers and even the international exhibitors looking forward to the show. UBM is optimistic that this increased demand underlines the high expectations from the MJGF platform and the faith in UBM’s quality and standards.

Jimé Essink, president and CEO of UBM Asia Ltd said, “This show is a direct response to the market, which has requested that UBM come to Mumbai with a show for the key buying season.”

The MGJF platform will offer: participation from prominent gold jewellers, diamond merchants, silver dealers, gem stone, machinery and allied service suppliers from across the country, participation from members of Mumbai Wholesale Gold Jewellers Association, international pavilions from Hong Kong, Israel, Belgium, Thailand, Germany, and Italy etc., good buying opportunities as it is slated after the Indian Diwali festival and before the start of wedding season.

UBM has been organising two leading shows in South India - the Gem & Jewellery India International Exhibition (GJIIE) in Chennai and the Hyderabad Jewellery, Pearl & Gem Fair (HJF).
