Says its is encouraged by the continued stability of demand for rough diamonds
De Beers’s fourth cycle provisional sales value is at  $630 million

The De Beers Group of Companies announced the value of rough diamond sales (Global Sightholder Sales and Auction Sales) for the fourth sales cycle of 2016 at $630 million. Philippe Mellier, Chief Executive, De Beers Group, said: “As normal seasonal trends return to the market, we are encouraged by the continued stability of demand for rough diamonds shown in the fourth sales cycle of 2016.”

The Cycle 4 2016 provisional sales value represents sales as at 23 May 2016. The company’s actual sales value in Cycle 3 2016 valued $666 million.
