Dali Diamond opens plant in Namibia

Dali Diamond Co., has announced its plans to invest $2.7 million in a diamond polishing plant in Namibia, during end-2007. The plant would be equipped with modern electronic and mechanical manufacturing equipment, and would deliver specialised training programmes for the local work force. The company projects to employ around 150 workers by the end-2008, but is optimistic to raise the numbers to 300. Dali also intends to invest in branding the origin of its Namibian diamonds.
