In a monumental step, the Dubai Diamond Exchange, a DMCC platform, announced the launch of its Dubai Diamond Finance Seminar Series - the first of three to be hosted this year. The seminars aim to raise awareness of diamond financing options and how Dubai's trade infrastructure and financial institutions can further support the diamond trade.

As Sanjeev Dutta, Director, DMCC   Tea Centre and DMCC Trade flow, who will speak at the seminar, says, “DMCC Trade flow has revolutionised the lending market for Dubai's Diamond industry. Our Loans for Diamonds solution and our Shariah compliant commodity Murabaha module, ensure commodity traders have access to transparent and efficient trade and finance mechanisms. We look forward to engaging with key industry participants at the Dubai Diamond Finance Seminar."

Representatives of the world's largest diamond manufacturers will speak at the seminar including Dilip Mehta, CEO of Rosy Blue, and Aditya Gandhi, Director of Azure Diamonds.

As Dilip Mehta, says, "There is a drought when it comes to finance options available to diamond buyers on a global scale. However, local lenders in Dubai are making finance options available. This will no doubt attract many companies, specifically rough diamond traders, to the Emirate."

Discussions will be moderated by Davy Blommaert, Unit Head Precious Metals & Diamonds at National Bank of Fujairah, and Peter Meeus, Executive Chairman of the Dubai Diamond Exchange.
