DDE plans another rough diamond tender this month

The Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE) plans to present a tender of rough diamonds from all the major Zimbabwe mines. The tender is expected to be slated this month, reports say. The viewing of the tender is scheduled between July 20-29 and the tender which will be facilitated by First Element will close on July 29, reports say.

The DDE had in March, hosted its first Zimbabwe Diamond Tender which met with success. It offered around 400,000 carats of rough diamonds from Zimbabwe-based companies and had culminated into revenues worth US$29.2 million, reports say. This tender was facilitated by Global Diamond Tenders in cooperation with the Dubai Multi-Commodities Centre (DMCC), reports add.
