Christie’s ‘Paris Jewels’ sale churned revenues worth $3,870,460. The top lot was a fancy yellow circular-cut diamond ring which was ought for $623,002 or $23,869 per carat. The sale was highlighted with natural pearls, diamonds and signed jewels. The auction house noted that these three categories fetched high prices at the sale.

One of the lots in the category of natural pearls was an antique natural pearl and diamond brooch, bought for $151,069, which was six times its pre-sale high estimate. In the Art Deco category, a rock crystal and diamond necklace by Cartier sold for $413.254 and a rock crystal and diamond bangle by Suzanne Belperron sold for $151.069.
