Bulgari creates unique ring for 125 anniversary

Bulgari is turning 125 years old, and celebrations for this feat will accentuate the company's social responsibility. The retailer is creating a special ring and forwarding part proceeds to the Save the Children foundation, through which it intends to support millions of children living in conflict-affected areas.

The sterling silver ring is seen designed in the tradition of Bulgari, as the company’s founder Sotirio Bulgari began his work as a silversmith. The brand name of Bulgari has been engraved on the outside of the ring, while the Save the Children logo is seen on the inside and the ring is being retailed at all Bulgari stores in the world, and on its website till the end of the year.

Of the total price of the ring which is $290, part proceeds will be given to Save the Children's "Rewrite the Future" campaign, which focuses on education for the under privileged children. Bulgari aims at raising 10 million euros, or $26.1 million, by the end of 2009 for the programme and individually support with funds also.
