Bulgari SpA earns 8.2% revenue increase in 2007

Bulgari SpA has announced its yearly reports on sales. It noted 8.2% increase in revenues for the year 2007, to amount to $1.68 billion (€1,091.0 million) from $1.55 billion (€1,008.7 million) in 2006. Of this, the sale of jewellery scaled up by 14.4% to $709.1 million (€459.9 million).

Bulgari’s net profit has increased in the year by 12.3% to $232.8 million (€150.9 million). Also region-wise, the company faired well in sales. In the US, annual sales were up by 12% to $272 million (€176.4 million), in Asia, they scaled up by 5.6% to $662 million (€429.3 million), and in Europe, sales increased by 10.2% to $659 million (€427.3 million). The company attributes this to hedging transactions on exchange rates and precious metals, which it carried out. Comparing this to the present year, Bulgari’s sales and profits have increased between 8% and 12%.
