In July 2012, Botswana’s dimaond exports dropped 61 percent (on y-o-y basis) to $260.4 million, reports say. The export figures are a provoded in the data released by the Bank of Botswana. The bank’s data is a representative sample of the country's full diamond trade and is sourced from the Diamond Trading Company Botswana, Leo Schachter Botswana, Teemane Manufacturing Co. and the Central Statistics Office.
The country’s diamond exports in the period January – July 2012 dropped 31 percent to $2.28 billion, reports add.
