Borsheims appoints Karen Goracke as CEO and President

With the recent exit of Borsheims’ CEO of many years - Susan Jacques, Warren Buffett has appointed Karen Goracke as the CEO and president of Borsheims Fine Jewelry and Gifts, reports say. Goracke who joined Borsheims in 1988 and later left only to rejoin back in 2004, will now take on her new responsibilities beginning December 31, 2013. She had previously served as a watch buyer for the jeweler and after rejoining took on as the retailer’s ladies jewelry buyer, reports say.
