Beijing to host 5th Indo-China Diamond Buyer Seller Meet

The 5th Indo-China Diamond Buyer Seller Meet, promoted by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council of India (GJPEC), is being held in Beijing, with the support of the Shanghai Diamond Exchange (SDE).

Around 28 Indian gem and jewellery companies are expected to participate. The platform will encourage interaction amongst manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers of China. This initiative of the GJEPC hopes to fuel exports and facilitate enhanced trade opportunities and business transactions between the two countries.

Chairman GJEPC, Mr. Rajiv Jain said “India, the breeding ground for readily available raw materials- cut and polished diamonds, polished colored gemstones and metals is today surging forward to create Brand India. Of the total gem & jewellery exports of US$ 43 billion by India, 23 percent is exported to Hong Kong thereby signifying the importance of robust trading relations between India and China. The Indo China Diamond Buyer Seller Meet is thus a meeting of two minds with the objective of establishing business relations between the participating countries and expanding horizons.”

Co. Ltd, Shital Diam, Star Rays,Sun Rays,Supergems (India) Pvt. Ltd,Sur Gems, Siddhi Diamonds, Monarch Gems,J B and Brothers Pvt Ltd ,Kama-Schachter Jewellery Pvt Ltd.

The Indo-China Diamond Buyer Seller Meet is one amongst many initiatives in the basket of GJEPC’s endeavours, which aims to find avenues to push trade transacted by Indian gem and jewellery exporters, diversify across geographies and scale more boundaries. Since 2007, these BSM’s have been instrumental in introducing at least 50 Indian diamond manufacturers having expertise in manufacturing all fancy shapes and sizes to successfully establish partnerships with jewellery manufacturers from mainland China.
