Aurora Butterfly of Peace diamond collection goes on exhibit

An exhibition of the popular diamond collection - The Aurora Butterfly of Peace collection is currently being held at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and will run through September 7, 2009. The collection is made of 240 natural coloured diamonds, of 167 carats in total weight. The exhibit is part of the show - ‘Nature of Diamonds’.

Alan Bronstein designed this collection over 12 years, employing pink, violet, gray and brown diamonds from Australia, purple diamonds from Russia and blue, green, orange and yellow diamonds from Africa.

The collection has been previously exhibited at The Smithsonian, The GIA Museum, The American Museum of Natural History, and The Royal Ontario Museum.
