Art exhibition opens at the IDE

An exhibition of paintings by diamantaire and IDE member David Ben Ezra opened at the at the Israel Diamond Exchange in the entrance to the Diamond Tower drew the attendance of IDE President Yoram Dvash, IDE Director-General Eli Avidar, leading figures in the diamond industry and many exchange members.

David Ben Ezra is the first artist whose works have been put on display on the walls of an IDE building. The paintings are influenced by African art.

IDE President Yoram Dvash congratulated Ben Ezra, saying: “His art speaks for itself and there are amazing items on display. It’s always nice to be reminded that the bourse is not only a place of work, but also a home with different types of activities for our members.” He told Ben Ezra that his works gave the bourse a great deal of pleasure and honor.

Ben Ezra said: “First and foremost, I am a diamantaire, but not many people in the diamond sector are aware of my artwork." He explained that his artwork features African motifs. He said that he is working on another exhibition in an altogether different field.”
