The polished diamond trade had a more stable performance although lower than last year, with 6.2 million carats of polished diamonds, valued at more than 13 billion dollars, being traded in Antwerp.

The rough trade increased as compared to 2015, wherein over 104.9 million carats worth 13.2 billion dollars of rough diamonds were traded.

The polished diamond trade figures followed approximately the same pattern as that of rough diamonds.
