It was attended by several leaders of the Israeli Diamond Industry, including Israel Diamond Institute Chairman Moti Ganz, Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association President Bumi Traub and Israel Precious Stones Exchange President Shlomo Eshed where Andre Messika was praised as a model for businessmen in Israel and abroad -- as one whose personal creed is also his business philosophy.
His headquarters in Israel, to which he relocated out of Zionist convictions, employs mostly new immigrants. He also donates to the community in Israel and abroad. In 2009, Andre Messika contributed to the opening of a diamond cutting and polishing school in Lesotho, Africa.
