Alrosa plans mining 102.3 million carats by 2012

Alrosa is ambitious about mining 102.3 million carats of rough diamonds in the next three years, through 2012. Also, it expects total revenue from selling rough diamonds in the three year-period to be $9.5 billion, and net profit to value $757 million, reports add.

The mining company has projected its loans and credit debt to be $3.1 billion, decreasing by $525 million by the end of 2012, reports add. It plans allocating around $214 million on geological prospecting work, and $68 million on social infrastructure facilities, reports add.
