Allegra Watch S12 preselected by jury of Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève 2014

The Allegra Watch S12 – a creation by Jewellery house de GRISOGONO is preselected by the jury of Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2014, as one of the top 6 Ladies’ watch. It will be part of a world exhibition, where all 72 preselected watches will be exhibited prior to the prize presentation ceremony in Geneva. The exhibition will tour across New Delhi, Beijing, Geneva and London with the 72 watches showcasing in India, China and Switzerland and follow by an exhibition of the winning watches at the Salon QP in London in November.

The Allegra S12 is a double square cased timepiece, made blackened to showcase a firework of precious stones with matching colours leather cords form a bracelet, composed of de GRISOGONO’s DNA. The raised bezel adds a refined aesthetic sense to the square case.

The design of the Allegra earned it to be one of the most outstanding case shapes amongst the 72 preselected watches, apart from its unique appeal in the market.

The case is blackened depicting the essence of de GRISOGONO’s watch style. The multicolour leather cords is atypical design result from more than a year of research & development. One band required 20 leather cords, 5 colours, 3 different lengths, 2 layers, 6 bars, 10 screws to form a custom-fitted watch strap to a customer. The interlaced leather cords echoed the interlaced gold rings, which act as a clasp and as part of the watch bracelet. Both are design inspired from the Allegra ring. The clasp is an easy to use system with a magnetic closure and two safety clicks. This Allegra Watch blends jewellery extravagance with watchmaking know-how, presented in a timeless fashion style.

The watch was presented at Baselworld 2014, and completed the iconic Allegra jewellery collection, which is named after its designer Fawaz Gruosi’s eldest daughter. The collection took shape 10 years ago. The Allegra ring remains one of the best sellers.

The Allegra Watch collection is offered in contrasting blends of materials, from steel or gold case with leather cord bracelet, gold with leather mix with diamonds cord bracelet and full paved diamond case with diamond cord bracelet. Other features of the watch collection include:
