50 leading names to feature in India Pavilion at Jewellery Arabia
Will focus on colour stones, sapphires, emeralds, rubies and solitaire diamonds for the Middle East

The Indian gem and jewellery industry will be represented at the forthcoming Jewellery Arabia, as the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council is organizing an India Pavilion featuring 50 leading names from the industry.

The exhibition is the largest and most prestigious jewellery exhibition in the Middle East and this year will unfold from 22 to 26 November 2016 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The India Pavilion which will be situated in Hall 2 of the Convention Centre over 750 square metres of exhibition space, will showcase the depth of Indian jewellery craftsmanship and design. A showcase of jewellery collections in high-end diamond jewellery, gold and platinum jewellery, and fine jewellery, diamond jewellery in palladium and platinum and in different settings; a display of loose diamonds, studded gold jewellery, designer handmade jewellery, high-end diamond jewellery, bridal jewellery and exclusive pieces will be seen. Specific to the taste of the Middle East market, Indian participants will focus on jewellery with colour stones, sapphires, emeralds, rubies and solitaire diamonds.

Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC said, “Middle East has emerged as one of the key leading markets accounting for $12.4 billion in 2015 (30 percent) of the total Indian gem and jewellery exports to the region. The Indian manufactures have an advantage that jewellery preference and design sensibilities of Middle East is very similar to that of India, and one could see, over the years, there has been a substantial demand for Indian designed products. Jewellery Arabia gives us the perfect opportunity to further improve our trade with the region.”

“Middle East has remained one of the key focus area for India and we will continue to put our concerted efforts to increase gem & jewellery trade in this region” added Mr. Pandya.

Jewellery Arabia is expected to feature over 600 exhibitors from 30 nations, participating across 18,000 square metres. The exhibitors will showcase finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, objets d’art, jewellery packaging and technology.
