“The 35th edition of India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) will give an opportunity to grow to existing as well as new exhibitors,” said Shailesh Sangani, Convener, Exhibition Sub-committee, GJEPC, during the press meet held here in Mumbai at Sofitel.
Over 2500 booths, 13000+ companies spread across 62000 sq mtrs await you at the 35th edition of IIJS to be held at Bombay Exhibition and Convention Centre from 9th to 13th August 2018.
“This year we are expecting over 40,000 trade visitors at the show. With the increased exhibition area and companies, we are expecting the show to generate good business for the Indian gems and jewellery industry. Through the expanded show, we intend to bring more focus to the country’s gem and jewellery sector,” said Pramod Agarwal, Chairman, GJEPC.
The annual event that traditionally marks the beginning of the buying season in India is back with newer and better features. Some of the new features are:
Other than this, the council has introduced security enhancements with over 20 baggage scanning machines, 50 door frames and metal detectors to avoid long queues.
The IGJME which is held concurrently will also have 60 new booths at The Leela. This year, the show will be held at The Lalit and The Leela. There would be car transport available for the visitors to travel between the two venues.
The Council will be conducting 200+ road shows at new cities. This year, the Council would also be visiting Myanmar, Bangladesh and Singapore in order to get more international visitors at the show.
