A highlight in the forthcoming tender by Israeli-French auction house Tzoffey's 1818 is a rough diamond of almost 100 carats amongst the other lots. "We always have a really special item at our tenders and auctions," said CEO Avner Sofiov. "This particular stone is of a good color and clarity and I expect it to draw a lot of attention and interest from the tender participants."

The tender is slated between August 30- September 3, at the company's new premises in the lobby of the Diamond Tower of the Israel Diamond Exchange complex.

The rough to be tendered includes a run-of-mine production, a wide variety of 5-10.8 caraters and many specials - rough stones larger than 10.8 carats. Viewing of the goods will take place between August 30 and September 3. Sofiov noted that the viewing slots during the tender week are almost fully booked. "While we now have nine fully equipped viewing rooms at our disposal in our new premises, there is a limit to how many participants we can accommodate. We are already past the 100 mark and we're allocating the last slots in the coming days!"
